The Questions We Ask

Love this reframing of adventure. Its not just going and exploring. It’s embracing the unknown.

Keys to Causing Change

“Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”
— Mahatma Gandhi

Gandhi is on to something here. There is a big difference between wanting things -situations, environments, or relationships- to change and being willing to change them. Positive change seeds with humility, sprouts with ideas, and matures with action. Change doesn’t just happen, here are two necessities to developing positive change.

“Do not wait for leaders; do it alone, person to person.”
 Mother Teresa

The first step in initiating change is engaging with the situation. Passivity leads to self-pity and apathy we must be willing to get messy. Change comes at a cost; engaging is our downpayment. After personally engaging the problem brainstorm solutions, be creative, be humble. Listen to those who are causing and with you in the problem. All solutions require compromise, positive change requires us to find whats best for everyone not just ourselves. As solutions develop try them; don’t wait around and hope someone else does. Get out there engage and embark on change.

“There is no failure except in no longer trying.”
― Elbert Hubbard

Change doesn’t happen over night. It can be extended over long periods of time with seeming little improvement. (This part is for me.) Persistence paired with reevaluation pays off. Change requires patience. Even when it hurts (as it often will) never give up, there is always hope. Keep dreaming, keep brainstorming, keep moving, keep sacrificing.
